A Review of 2021

2021 has certainly been an interesting and transformational year for IT Document Solutions for a variety of reasons.

ITDS continues to go from strength to strength and has continued to achieve sustainable growth in terms of turnover and profit. The ITDS team has grown significantly, with new members of staff across the business and the expansion of the solutions portfolio.

Covid-19
Covid-19 has brought its challenges and continues to do so, but the furlough scheme ensured we could retain our team.  During 2022 we have offered the opportunity for our staff to upskill and continue their professional development.

Brexit coupled with the pandemic has led to stock and distribution issues throughout the partner channel.  This has at times been challenging, but we have continued to deliver the latest technology to our clients across the UK.

Expansion of the ITDS portfolio
The ITDS group of companies continues to expand to deliver an end-to-end solution for our customers. Through ITDS Managed Services we are providing fully managed IT services and technology solutions. And our newest addition ITDS Mailroom solutions has seen us deliver the best-of-breed franking and mailing solutions.

The intervention of ITDS Managed Services has helped the business offer greater knowledge and experience through the ITDS Helpdesk, we plan to use technology experts to save time and money for our clients consistently across all businesses.

Customer retention and flexible thinking
Customer satisfaction has always been at the heart of IT Document Solutions.  We aim to continue to manage client relationships and deliver high levels of service and support. Continuous improvement remains high on our agenda and delivering solutions related to value-added services wherever possible. Our clients continue to discuss concerns around improving security, IT infrastructure, intellectual property and business-related data, which forms part of every client roadmap discussion with ITDS.

The new normal
Future workspaces will look very different because of the pandemic.  We are no longer bound to our desks 9-5 and have discovered there are better ways of working. One of the positive aspects to come out of the Covid-19 is businesses successfully adapting and realising the benefits of their teams working remotely.

Hybrid working is set to become the norm for many – where the company’s main offices become collaborative workspaces, alongside home working. There are huge benefits for both employer and employee, providing there is seamless integration between home and office environments and the technology that facilitates this.

Technology companies have been challenging the norm for many years, and now the rest of the world seems to be catching up. Our modern lifestyles need the flexibility to increase employee productivity, employee satisfaction and loyalty.

The ITDS Business is agile and flexible in its thinking to represent the modern business in a new world.

Our year ahead
2022 will see more of the same for IT Document Solutions Ltd in terms of continuing to strive to offer the best IT, print and document solutions in the market to our clients.  Like most businesses we have had to stay lean during the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic, however, we will continue to transform our solutions for the ever-changing workplace.

As an aside I would like to mention the charities we have supported throughout the year, their work has changed lives for the better and we will continue to support your selfless efforts.  Combat Stress, Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, Matt Hampson Foundation and Dans Fund for Burns, we are proud to support you.

This year has certainly been both challenging at times, however, extremely rewarding in different ways, and now we are looking forward to seeing what 2022 will bring.
